what a great weekend it was

The weekend went by very fast. We had an awesome but tiring weekend. Too bad it went by too quickly till I have no time to enjoy every moment of the weekend becuase we were too busy trying to focus on the dinner. The christmas dinner was wonderful we had 90 plus people for the VERY first time we had it.We had more food and less people so some families took back some food and they no need to cook the following day.My commitee and I had 8 weeks of planning and running around like mad trying very hard to get everything ready as well as praying that it wont rained or else it wil be a nightmare where the drivers trying to fetch the families and everything will be in a mess. On saturday I spend 3 hours plus in the church doing deco with the other commitee members. For the past 8 weeks I spend the entire week emailing uncle bh and the team on the different logistics on the event. If you look at my inbox i can say there will be countless emails on the event itself. We took almost 180 pictures on event itself haha and all are good ones. The most amazing thing is we will be having some kids coming to our church next year and all the guest that we invited are hindus and buddhist and most of them work hadcore jobs(eg: washing the plates at a coffeeshop) .I was glad that Rosalind , Kelly and I could attend the dinner eventhough we are sick.
In the end after the dinner I was too tired till i slept the entire day on monday coz i have been working all 8 weeks long.

christmas dinner is around the corner

wow! few more days is the christmas dinner to blessed the poor.
I am excited coz we are doing this for the first time in 14 years. we had a very good number of 110(confirm last week)and after that we draw the line and not inviting anymore.I still cannot believe that we have almost the whole church coming for the dinner and we have 11 families as guest. I think it will be a good one as we are praying that all goes well.
Things are going well for the dinner meaning that all the preparations are in order.it seems that it was yesterday we as a team sat down to talk about it but its here before you know it. Needless to say that there are things that didnt go well 2 of my team mates are sick and so do I and uncle boon hong. Hopefully we can get well by sat(yes we can if we keep praying for the next few days). I cant believe my dad and uncle Boon Hong are sharing for the first time in Malay I cant barely wait to hear them translate & Aunty lily translating in mandarin.
Not only they are sharing for the first time and i have spend weeks doing the slides about SACC and i will give SACC a shock that i did the slides all by myself hehehe .
Some think that its less work to be in the commitee but if you are in the commitee you will be worse becuase you have to run around and do all the stuff and somemore have to attend meetings and meet the caterer and the person handling the gifts.
This whole week i have been very busy till i have been too 'manjang'(cantonese translation for grumpy) doing all the other stuff like seating arrangements, table numbering and not forgetting the slides about our church.
Here comes the next few days doing all remainding of the work for the dinner which includes saturday doing the deco and the final touch up. break record i wil be in church for 3-8(depends on the no of people coming on sat) this sat.If its less people than we take longer time to do if more people come than we can get things done faster

Pictures will be out after the dinner is over lol.

Where has the time gone..seriously?

For those who dont know what i mean. Let me tell you. Its been 2 yrs (coming to may 2010)since i am out of ACU. And also less than 30 days we are into 2010. When i came back may last year it was in the midst of economy turndown. From than on I tried my hardest to find a job but in the end i work in church till not long ago i got a contract job which i had thank god for it.Now i am trying to find another job which i think it will take quite sometime to find becuase the economy just bouncing back. Hopefully I can get a job by march 2010(thats my main goal for 2010).
Recently I realized that time flies so fast that I didnt do that much.Well god has a purpose for different people.I am hoping that i can have a more permanent career than at least i can keep my money for something else.
Actually this question has been asked often which is do you have a BoyFriend? Always i will tell them later. Lately i saw my friends profile which is more and more are changing their relationship status either to In a relationship or engage or even married. Why? is it becuase time flies too fast and i dont realized it. Yup it can be a possiblity becuase some have dated for a year and i dont know about it.Some had already second kid and they are below 30.One of them is my former schoolmate.

Leg injury

Sorry havent been able to update my blog lately.Wow fo the past weeks(almost 4) my leg has been injured.I have went to the same clinic but different doctors and guest what both also said the same thing which is taking a long time to recover(no promises as to when). I didnt have a scan becuase it was just a bad sprain. Now i just realize how did ever sprain my leg till its so bad
and still thinking either i play sports or doing aerobics.
Now i cant drive or exercise till i recover from my injury. I cant imagine i havent driven or exercise in like almost a month.Poor me now have to be more cautious with my leg this days when i have church responsibilities to do and we will be going for bowling for youth outing on the 12/12.Hoping that it doesnt extend the duration of my injury.

I guess i am kinda very lucky because christmas dinner will be served by the caterer so I dont have to serve the main dishes but the drinks and the other things.Hopefully that i can recover by than. Lets see for real when the actual time comes.
All in all this is the worse injury i ever had in a long time.

US experience

Its been 2 yrs i have been out of ACU. And I must admit that it is the best experience that I ever had in a long time. To be honest thats the first country i ever been out of malaysia. In form 3 or so i have been begging my dad to study in the US thats after i went to the education fair. The first time i went to the US I wasnt use to it and after one semester I got use to being on my own and try mixing around. The first time i ever experience being at home is when i when i went to my pastors house to eat and for christmas I went to my church members house for christmas party with my college mates and also for fall break i went to my friends house to have a break and we had homecook food plus a nice break without any studying. My first every friends i knew was hispanic/ mexican thats the group i ever went with for fall break. Still to say that my fav food is mashmallows with biscuits and you use the fire pit in the house to cook. And also i like mexican food a lot.

I also learn kayaking and the first time i did it was like i have kayak for many years and playing volleball which i do every thursdays. Sometimes if i am free i will play badminton or even tennis with friends. During summers i play frisbee and aslo sometimes i go salsa dancing in a town called oplin which i really missed it becuase i go there at least few times in a semester.Every fall we have ethnos and its the only show at school I must not missed. I was involve in different ways over the years and i really enjoyed it. One was i did the welcoming and also i was backstage. I was also doing indian dancing and I donthave experience at all. so each time before class i will go to my teammates room to practice and after that go to class.the last day of the run through was sucks.I regreted for doing such a obvious mistake and i almost got kick out. but i didnt becuase my leader talk to the director and he given me a chance and thankfully he is a christian if not i should not have been in and also he knows that i have work very hard for it . one reason i love ethnos is becuase we choreograph our own dance steps.i love singsong very much becuase i had a chance to be a director and guest what we have to set up and take down the equipments after the show is over.

Each break i dont really study that much and I try my hardest to do my homework before i go on my break unless there is exam or something.
There are a lot of things i learn in the US. First thing is US people learn to relaxs and also they love to try things that you havent try before. US people love party and they always invite friends to the house. And also most of the working adults will finished work at a certain time and after that they will spend time with their family.
The past four years have been very bad becuase couple of my friends passed away at a very young age. One of them had committed suicide due to too much problems and he didnt let it out.
The first test i got 97 and i was very surprise becuase i didnt put much effort. For many years I take a long time to write a sentence. After a semester of english thats where i started writing 2 pages in an hour with fewer mistakes.Thats where my grades started improving and most of them I got 90s.

One thing you musnt try. Do not misread your instructions for your paper: Let me tell you my experience. There was one time I write a paper for my class and it was a 11 pages paper. During the weekend I went to ask my classmate to see if i write correctly.Guess what? I wrote wrong content and sadly I sat at home doing homework till late nights and i didnt get to go anywhere the next day i went late to church.Another thing my school mate was doing a 20 page paper and he save his work and the computer corrupted and all his work is gone. in the end have to redo but thankfully got a rough copy.Same as me but mine is just a few pages gone not the whole thing.

When i was in the US my metabolism rate is very high after a few hours i must find something to eat.
After 4 years being the Us i have change so much in the way I think.I have learn a lot from different people at ACU.In the end it was a decision that i never regret doing it.I was very happy to make a decision to study in the US.

Ethnos 09

I am blown by your effort for ETHNOS 09. I wish I could be there. Its been 2 years since i am out of school and i have to admit it that i really missed the fun. As i look at the pictures and the clips of it reminds me of being there. I did ethnos for 4 years and I am madly in love with it. And also since i am out of school people are asking me for Advice for Chereograpy.
I am utterly blesss with the fact that you all are very creative when it comes to chereographing the dance. And you all did it from scretch.

Good job to all
Your hardwork for the past 3 months (8pm to 11pm each day and 6pm-1am the last week)is paid off.

Why are things arent the way they are?

There are so many things we cant understand.I just cant get it.Some things changes last minute. This whole week was just sucks. My fav goalkeeper from Germany paseed away on tuesday and funeral is sunday(euro time)where he will be buried near his house besides his daughter Lara. The last time i saw him played was EURO 08.I had my leg injury for 12 days already and I am so glad i can sing if i was was much worse i may not sing at all till i recover. Not long ago i was shock and speechless becuase my classmate from UNI diagnose with a rare leukimia disease called 'Evans syndrome'. Some of her friends knew that she was sick but not me. It wasnt the subject that we talked about in school.its like a taboo subject in school. She has been sick for the past 11 years going through tough times. There are many times i saw my friends who are sick and i thought that i must be luckiest garl ever becuase i am still healthy as i am.
I just cant understand why people are sick as young as 23 and they are gone. After the death of Robert enke(most ppl's fav) goalkeeper it was really a great lesson for everyone especially the footballers. We must learn to open up ourselves which one of the officials from Germany. My condolences goes to Germany on the lost of their goalkeeper. I wish to see him play next year but how sad he is gone and its hard to find a person to replace him. I guess i will understand when i go to heaven.
